Claim your profile
Claiming lets an authorized representative correct how your business appears in the directory: name, phone, service area, licence numbers, and website. Here is what you get, what we publish and why, what we refuse to publish, and how corrections and removal work.
What you get
A claimed profile is the difference between a listing compiled from public scraps and a listing you stand behind. After verification, you can correct the business name customers know you by, the phone number that actually reaches dispatch, your service area, licence numbers, and the link to your own website.
Claiming is free. It does not enroll you in lead programs, paid placement, or any product you did not ask for. It simply gives you a controlled path to fix factual errors before a homeowner calls the wrong number or drives to an old address.
Verification means we could match you to the listing — not that True Trade Path endorses your work. The badge language describes our check, not your quality. See /trust for the exact wording we use and what each badge does not claim.
What we publish
We publish business contact information and trade facts that either you confirm in writing or that we match to a public record such as a state licence register, with source and check date where applicable.
When a licence number appears, it means we saw that number on a named public source on the date we checked — not that we inspected your jobs, audited your insurance, or interviewed your customers.
Service-area businesses typically show city- or region-level coverage rather than an owner’s home address. What appears on the public profile is meant to be what you already use to acquire customers, not private personal data.
What we will not publish
We do not publish homeowner contact information collected through our tools, private financial metrics, or unverified allegations about you or your competitors.
We do not fabricate reviews, copy reviews from other platforms, or let a claimed profile delete genuine negative reviews because someone paid us. Review handling is on /trust.
If something on a profile is wrong and you did not place it there, claiming is the fastest way to fix it — but you can also request removal entirely if you do not want to be listed at all.
Corrections and removal
Submit updates through the listings update flow or the contact path linked from your profile. We process factual corrections before we use a profile in outreach or editorial features.
Removal requests are honored without requiring a reason. If you withdraw consent to be listed, the public profile comes down. We do not maintain a shadow copy for ranking games.
Start at /listings/update if you already see a profile, or /listings/submit if you are not listed yet but want to appear after verification.
